With the summer holidays in full swing, we have put together a list of activities to entertain children of all ages, such as camping, cooking and chilling out!
Go to an inflatable day
If you want to keep your kids entertained, head to an inflatable day where they can run around and use up all their energy on bouncy castles, trampolines and inflatable playgrounds! If you can’t make it to event, why not look for an Essex bouncy castle hire company who can supply you with one for the day for a nominal fee!
Cooking and baking
Once a week, plan a cooking or baking day, where the kids can choose what to make for lunch, dinner or as a snack. Involve them in the process from the beginning by letting them choose from a selection of recipes that you have the ingredients for. Work through the instructions so they can feel a sense of achievement and finish the process with something delicious to eat!
Go camping
Camping can be great fun – whatever the weather! Take your kid and a couple of their friends on an overnight camping trip so they can enjoy spending some time outside. Have fun star watching and toasting marshmallows on a roaring fire.
Camping doesn’t necessarily have to be outside – why not build a tent indoors with blankets and sheets. Once the tent is up, make it cosy inside with piles of duvets and pillows, and enjoy a picnic in your very own little den.
Make some jewellery
Head to a local haberdashery shop and have a hunt around to stock up on beads, wire and clasps, and get busy making your own jewellery! This activity can be done with young children, just make sure to use appropriate bead sizes for different age groups. Once complete, they will be so proud to wear the jewellery that they have made.
Have a ‘chill day’
With all of these exciting activities planned, kids will also need a little down time planned. Why not plan days where you can all relax, watch a film, read a book and just take it easy!
