The Pumpkin Patch in Colchester
The long awaited pumpkin patch and maize trail is back and bigger than ever, with pick your own pumpkins, a maize trail, game zone and food stalls for everyone to enjoy. The pumpkin patch opened on Saturday 30th September, and will be open every weekend until October 29th. The patch will be open 10am-4pm every weekend and is free to enter – you just pay for what you pick!
Barleylands Farmers Market
On the last Saturday of every month during 2017, Barleylands Farm are holding an indoor and outdoor farmers market where you can pick up delicious food and handmade treats. It’s a great opportunity to buy local handmade goods from farmers and small businesses in the county. The market is open from 8:30am to 12:30pm, with free entry and free parking. Some of the delicious handmade goods on offer include pastries, bread, sausages, dairy products, coffee, culinary oils, skin care products plus lots more!
Colchester Zoo Shriek Week
Shriek Week is set to return to Colchester Zoo for Spooktacular fun throughout the October half term. There will be fantastic themed displays, attractions and activities taking place for everyone to enjoy. Food outlets will be open throughout the day, serving up breakfast, lunch, dinner and spooky snacks and treats.
You can also stay on into the evening on selected Fright Night dates, where you can enjoy magical lighting around the park and watch special after dark feeds.
Autumn Food and Craft Fair at Cressing Temple Braintree
On 14th and 15th October, 10am-5pm, walk around the grounds of the stunning Cressing Temple Barns and enjoy a huge range of stalls set within the historic barns, both inside and outside the grounds. Browse the stalls, sample food and buy homemade goods. There will also be celebrity chefs showing cooking demos and a bar to order drinks from. Tickets will be on the gate from £3.
